Coding Classes for Kids at VAPS | Term 4 | 2020

For Victoria Avenue Public School Students Only

Weekly Coding Course for Y2 – Y6 Students

The Coding Fundamentals, Intermediate coding course consists of four levels and 25 sophisticated software projects, which students develop using block-based coding in Scratch (developed by MIT Media Lab). During this course students will learn and apply more complex computer science concepts such as booleans, recursive algorithms and lists. Students will also be introduced to the basics of Artificial Intelligence (AI), user interface design and user input validation. Students will be given an opportunity to define and develop their own projects independently with a minimal guidance. By the end of the Intermediate stage, all students will go through a formal assessment and parents will receive individual reports outlining achievements and progress of their child.
