For St Mary’s Erskineville Catholic School Students Only

Coding Class for Y3 – Y6 students

CODING ADVANCED

During the Scratch Advanced coding course, which consists of four levels, students use Scratch (developed by MIT Media Lab) and lean how coding can be used to solve real world challenges such as bush fires, climate change and plastic pollution. Students will both be guided through and encouraged to work independently on their games and animations in order to achieve a specific goal. By the end of the Scratch Advanced course, students created up to 20 software projects under guidance and should be able to build a number of projects themselves. By the end of the Scratch Advanced stage, all students will go through a formal assessment and parents will receive individual reports outlining achievements and progress of their child.
