Lego Robotics & Python Pro Course, Mosman Art Gallery Term 3, 2018

Design and Program Lego Robots to Play Soccer Autonomously

Class for Y6 – Y11 Students

The class is run by Jesse Clark

During this course students will build robots using Lego Mindstorm Kits and program them to play soccer autonomously using Lego and Python programming languages. The final goal of the Lego Robotics course is to create fully functioning autonomous robots, which are able to compete against each, and play soccer by kicking an infrared transmitting ball. Apart from learning coding, electronics, physics, and maths, the learning process also aims to encourage teamwork, cooperation and organisational skills.

Pre-requisites: Y7 – Y11 students require no prior experience to attend the Pro courses. Primary school students can only take part in these courses if they have completed a full year of Advanced level and our teacher feels they will be confident enough to move up.
