Holiday Programming Workshops at Liverpool City Library

Sydney Programming School is happy to announce there will be two computer programming workshops for Y1 – Y6 children at Liverpool City Library during this summer holidays.

Both programming workshops will take place on Monday, 18 January 2016.

Timing is as follows:

Workshop 1 is for children in Y 1 – Y 3

11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Workshop 2 is for children in Y4 – Y 6

1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Both workshops are free. Booking will commence 21 December 2015. Places are limited, as we will be able to accommodate no more than 22 children per session.

For bookings and more details, please visit Liverpool City Library website

Both programming workshops are designed for beginners with no previous experience in coding. Kids will be introduced to programming through the popular educational coding tool Scratch. Developed by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Scratch is an entertaining way to teach children aged 8 to 15 to create computer programs, and it’s now used in over 150 countries. While exploring basic programming tools and algorithms, our students will create their own computer games and animated stories.

Laptops will be provided, or you can bring your own.

Have a very Marry Christmas and a fantastic New Year.

See you all on 18th January at the Liverpool City Library.
